Building Project

Building Dedication -  The warm sun blessed our dedication services on April 24, 2016 as over 200 attendees heard the original church bell ring again from the steeple. Remarks from Rev. Ken Peterson, Elder Barry Henderson, Elder Jerry Herman, Pastor Jack McClelland, and Builder Bill Simmons led up to the official dedication of the building followed by refreshments and and Open House. God has blessed us richly! We invite you to come worship with us in our new home.

The stained glass is back! It is gorgeous. You can tell the windows were built for the old building, but they were made for this one! Isn’t wonderful that the Lord’s foreknowledge and providence even extends to stained glass? He knew what the windows would be even before they were rough shards in some of your hands.

The Sanctuary

January 17, 2016 – First Communion in the New Sanctuary!  Grateful for the milder temperatures we experienced most of January, the congregation was blessed to gather together January 17 to celebrate the Lord’s Supper in the new sanctuary. Following communion, families and friends spread out and wrote prayers for the sanctuary on the cement floor. Everyone signed his or her name on the floor, so that even though it will soon be covered up with carpet – we will all have made our mark in this exciting chapter in the life of the church. We ended the service with an appropriate chorus: “Lord prepare me to be a sanctuary…”   Our God is an Awesome God!

Plow video  Sunday, April 12, 2015, God blessed us with a warm, sunny morning as the congregation and guests stepped outside to officially break ground for the new church building. Smiling faces were everywhere and anyone who wanted was able to turn a shovelful of dirt. The service ended with a friendship circle and singing of the Doxology. Friends lingered to share memories in the warm sunshine, then we all enjoyed a delicious carry in dinner together. It was a joyful, Spirit-filled day.
